Did God really say that??

How often have you heard the saying that God only gives you what you can bear? Is this really found in the Bible?

What do you think?
This is actually a trick question because we cannot under our own strength, handle life's problems. Of course we may think we can, but we usually fail in the process.
Would David have been able to handle the giant bully Goliath on his own?
No! Without God, David would have been squashed like a bug! David knew where his strength came from.
1 Sam 17:37
37 The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.”
The same is true for the Apostle Paul in the New Testament. He wrote about the many trials he experienced while trying to spread the Gospel.
2 Corinthians 1:8-10
8 We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about the troubles we experienced in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. 9 Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. 10 He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us."
Paul confirms that it was through God's power and not through their own that they were saved!
But, what about temptations... Does God give us no more than we can bear?

1 Cor 10:12-13
12 So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! 13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
God is faithful.
God will always provide us a way to not sin. In the power of Christ, we can resist evil. God remains faithful to us in every temptation that we encounter, just as we pray in the Lord’s Prayer, Matthew 6:13, “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”
In this world, Jesus said we would have trouble. But His next words are our hope!
John 16:33b, “But take heart, I have overcome the world!”

Anything that comes our way - anything that tempts us, any tragedy that befalls us...We are capable in God's Power, to overcome it!
In all things we can achieve spiritual victory, through Christ.
Evil schemes and disagreeable circumstances will NOT win the day.
Because we have the full armor of God and the privilege of prayer, God will see to it that our trials do not overcome our faith.
Very interesting
